  • Dislocated Worker
    • Laid-off due to no fault of your own, business closing, down sizing
    • Previously self-employed
    • Legally eligible to work in the U.S
  • Adult Program
    • Must be 18 years or older
    • Legally eligible to work in the United States
    • Income eligible
  • Youth Program - 14-21 years of age, income eligible and at least one of the following:
    • Basic skills deficient
    • Disability
    • Drop-out
    • Foster Child
    • Homeless
    • Offender
    • Pregnant/parenting
    • Runaway
    • Other situations based on documentation

 - An overview of services in your community and surrounding areas.  These services may include: employment, training, and referrals to other agencies for food, shelter, clothing and other basic needs. This interactive presentation will assist you in exploring your future employment options and the steps to obtain them.  Reviewed in this session: budgeting, career exploration, labor market information, and job search and training possibilities.  Participants will receive a listing of websites to assist them in their employment search.  Unless you are WIA eligible, you will not be able to move on to the Enrollment session. Military Service Members - If you have served in the military, including the National Guard, please call (608) 288-2459 for priority access to services.  If you are eligible for WIA, you will receive priority of service.

May 22, 2012: Foundations for the Trades Academy Information Session

Foundations for the Trades in an apprenticeship preparation program to help you prepare for a career in the construction and utilities industry. During the Academy's six-week training program, you'll learn important industry skills and concepts. Next, you'll have the chance to apply your new skills during a hands-on experience. Upon program completion, we'll help you take the next steps toward pursuing an apprenticeship or employment in the field.


The information session will provide detail about the Foundations for the Trades Academy, including:
  • Participant eligibility
  • Application and interview process
  • Training schedule and curriculum

Note: All interested participants must attend an information session to be considered for participation.
